Woofff
everyone…..
I know I know
it’s been ages since my last blog, I’m sorry but we’ve been really busy, and I’ve
just not had the time. Olga wanted to write something but I don’t trust her not
to be silly, so she is banned from using my laptop…. So what have we been up to…
well…………..
Work has
been busy and I had to guard a massive garden where Dad and Little John were
building a new wall. Each day I’d do my patrol of the area and make sure there
were no birds or furries about, I made friends with the old man next door too…
well I did after a few days. He kept coming out and shouting at Dad telling him
not to make a mess… I ran up to see him one day and he stood completely still
like a statue, I sniffed and introduced myself, but he didn’t talk to me for
ages! I had to keep going back and bringing him sticks so he could play with
me, it wasn’t long before the biscuits were out hehehehehe… I think he missed
me when we finished because he gave me extra treats on our last day.
Olga has
been having a little bit of trouble with her legs again, I think it’s the cold
weather, it seems to take her a while to warm up and run around properly. Mum
was going to get her some socks and something called a onsie? But Dad said “No
way, we are not dressing her up” – I actually liked the sound of these onsie
things when Mum was telling me, but Dad just looked at me and said “Louis mate
if you wear one of them you’re not coming out with me” – That made me go all
cold and I thought there’s no way I can let Dad go out on his own!
I’ve been
keeping a close eye on Dad over the last few months, because I heard Mum telling
him that she was worried she was going to lose one of her good friends because
he was poorly. I thought I better help Mum out looking after Dad, so I decided
to go everywhere Dad went.. I don’t think he likes it too much because we had a
chat last week that went something like this:
Me: What
doing dad?
Dad: Nothing
I just stood up Louis
Me: Where ya
going Dad?
Dad: Louis I’m
literally walking 3 feet away, I’m not even leaving the room!
Me: Can I
come?
Dad: I guess
so, but I’m literally just putting some wood in the fire.
Me: I’ll
help
Me: What ya
doing Dad?
Dad: I need
to open this door Louis.
Me: I’ll
help
Dad: Louis
you’re in front of the door, will you move please.
Me: I’ll
help
Dad: *sighed
Me: Where ya
going Dad?
Dad: Louis I’m
going right back to my chair, I’m not even going to attempt to leave the room!
Me: Can I
come?
Dad:
Whatever Louis!
I don’t
think he realises how much hard work it is looking after him, I mean could you
imagine if Mum lost him!
We’ve been
going out early as well, whilst it’s still dark and there have been a family of
foxes on my field and you know what that means… FOX POO!!!! Ohhh I’ve been
rolling in it and everything, and only because one of the little dogs told me
it’s good for your skin… I’m not too sure, because it’s meant I’ve had to have
lots more baths. Dad said if I keep having baths I’ll end up washing away
It’s been
raining loads here over the past few weeks and our field has turned into a
swimming pool! Olga loves it but I’m not a massive fan of swimming, I don’t
mind paddling as long as it doesn’t go over my ankles! Of course Olga has been
diving in the ditches and even going under the water, I’m sure she should have
been a spaniel!
Little John
and Alicia told Santa we had both been good dobies this year and he brought us
2 massive treats, which I spent most of the day hiding from Olga! She is greedy
and steals all my stuff even my bed sometimes, although I draw the line at
hogging all of Dad’s ear stroking time!
Nana and
Grandad with the see through roof came for Christmas dinner, it’s lovely having
them here with us, but I wasn’t feeling too good, I’m not sure what it was but
I didn’t want to eat anything and I just wanted to sleep, plus my nose was
dripping. I think I worried Dad because he ended up taking me to see the doggie
doctor that night. I saw a lovely lady who took my temp (I won’t tell you were
she put the temp taking thing!) but it showed it was high, she then checked my
tummy and listened to chest, she was really pretty. Dad kept talking about Jilly and how
she was poorly at Christmas, so I think he was getting himself upset -- but after
a good check up the pretty lady said I had doggie flu - or kennel cough to you humans! So you know what that
means – yup, I can be fussy with my food and Mum will make lots of lovely stuff for me to eat, although it also means I have to take medicine which Dad thinks he
can hide in a piece of ham! – No no Dad, you cannot catch me out like that, I’m
well clever!
Mum told Dad
that I’m not stupid and I will spit it out, which of course I do, hehe. Mum
makes the best jam butties though, I cannot get enough of them and I always get
them when I’m poorly – she knows not to trick me
We had some friends round on the day they call Boxing day, ohhh my goodness I made a new friend called Coriene and she works as a doggie nurse, and does the best cuddles ever!! I was on her side when we were playing a game, I was really good!!
See you all
soon
Lots of love
Louis and
Olga xxxxx
