Woofff
everyone….
Guess where
we’ve been!!! Go on guess…. SCOTLAND!!!
We’ve had an
exciting few days, where do I begin….
On Monday afternoon
Mum came home after being away for a few days, and Dad had been packing our ‘going
away bags’ so I was getting a little bit excited because I had a good idea we
were going somewhere, but I had to hide it from Olga because she is a nightmare
if she thinks we are going away!
When Mum got
back Dad packed the car up and we set off to pick up our house on wheels, soon
we were on the road, the only problem with the house on wheels is it follows us
too closely, it always seems to be hanging on our bumper and it also blocks my view! Olga was squeaking at everything and I kept asking Dad if we were nearly
there yet! – although I didn’t know where ‘there’ was, but I had a good idea.
We stopped at
a place off the busy road and had some tea and a wander round the doggie park,
we had the whole place to ourselves! It was brilliant….
After what
felt like loads of doggie days we finally drove onto the beach and we were home – Mill
of Nethermill …!!!! Well we were back on MY beach, Dad opened the back of the
car and we jumped out and Olga ran straight into the sea!! Everything smelt the
same … ohhhh I love that place, plus I knew we were near Auntie Pam’s as well,
this was going to be an ace few days, I was going to see my FOND buddies.
The next day
I got Dad up really early because I wanted to make sure the sea was still
there, because if you remember last time we came to Scotland someone had stolen
Loch Awe – there was no way I was going to let someone steal my sea! I even had
to wake Olga up, jeez she’s a lazy thing. When Dad open the house on wheels
door I charged out and did a quick recce – yup everything was still there, Sea –
check, Beach – check, Hills – check, the lovely grass field – check!
After
breakfast Mum said she needed to get some bits from the shop, I didn’t really
want to go so Mum and Dad asked me to guard the house on wheels and they would
be back in no time. To be honest I was quite glad because it gave me time to
have a quick nap before going to see Auntie Pam, so me and Olga
snuggled down.
I was drifting
off when I heard voices outside, Stranger Danger!- so jumped up at the door, the
top of it opened so I shouted “morning!!, Olga shouted ‘top o the morning’ – I looked
at her and said “where do you think we are Olga!” deary me she is such an
embarrassment. She then had another attempt, “ Hog eyes du new” oh my days, I
cringed.
The people
outside looked a little shocked and turned round and walked off, I’m not surprised
after Olga’s poor attempt at a greeting although to be fair some people are a
little strange, we were ony being friendly.
A few mins
later I heard Dad’s car pulling onto the beach, and then I heard Mum’s voice
shouting “Louis! Olga!” she sounded a bit funny, like she was about to start
crying! I jumped up and popped my head over the door – Mum came running up and
gave me a massive big hug!, then shouted at me for opening the door then gave
me a big kiss!, I think she was having one of her ‘funny turns’ like the same
ones that make her call me Olga, Jack, Jill before she gets to Louis when she’s
upset lol. Dad later told me she thought I had run off because the door was
open, I sometimes wonder about Mum, she always forgets I’m “Louis’s security squad”,
I don’t abandon my post!
Once Mum had
calmed down we all headed off to Auntie Pam’s, I knew the way and woofed at Dad
when he took the wrong turning, even the lady in the little box told him to ‘make
a U turn”, eventually we reached FOND.
I love this
place it brings back good memories of my time here waiting for Mum and Dad to
come and collect me, I use to go on the beach every day and get lovely ear rubs
of Auntie Pam and even John – when no one was looking lol.
Mum and Dad
went and got Auntie Pam and guess what Auntie Louise was there too!! I’ll let
you into a little secret – Auntie Louise loves me so much she changed her name
to be like mine Louis – Louise schhhhhhh don’t tell anyone.
It was great
to see everyone, so I made myself at home again, I told Olga she had to be on
her best behavior and she actually was! FOND has a load of new toys in the gardens and Dad had me jumping over fences and everything, I’m sure he thought
I was a horse! – it was great fun, although I had to call it quits when they
tried to get me to run through this blue tunnel thing… ohhh noooo thank youuu
could you just imagine how many creepy crawlies would be in there!
After Mum and
Dad had a brew, we all headed off the to the dunes with some of my FOND
buddies, Priscilla and Belle, Olga had to stay in the car with Mum because she
had already had a good run round, and Mum says we have to be careful with how
much running she does since she became half Dobie half Morphy Richards – I still
don’t get that!
Wow those
girls can run! I thought I was fit but they have loads of energy, although I
think they were trying to get me to chase them haha..
Once we got
back to FOND HQ everyone had some lunch and we stayed in the gardens playing.
Auntie Pam wanted to take some photos of us, I don’t know what it is with the
ladies in my life but they all love taking my photo, so off we went to a big farmer’s
field for a photo shoot. Dad threw my Frisbee and it landed on top of this big
round thing, there were loads of them in this field so I had to jump to get it!
It was then
time to leave and go back to our house on wheels, so time for a couple for
cuddles and kisses with Auntie Pam and Auntie Louise and another chance for
Auntie Louise to tell me how gorgeous I am.
We had
another day on my beach then it was time to head home, I had a quick chat with
the house on wheels and told it to back off a bit, but it didn’t listen once
again all the way home it was sat on our bumper – stupid thing!
Monday
morning was the same as any other morning, I made sure Dad was up early for our
run and we headed off to my field. It was still quite dark and the sky seemed
to be touching the grass because it was all cloudy, I went off in search of new
smells. I must have been running with my head down because I didn’t notice this
new fence thing that had been put up, I heard Dad shout “Louis” but it was too
late and I ran into the stupid thing. I picked myself up and had a quick look
round to make sure no-one saw me, I headed back to Dad, I didn’t notice or feel
the cut on my side – the fence had bitten me!
When we got
home Mum was just getting about to leave for work when she saw the cut on my
side, she went into her normal panic mode, and Dad said “don’t worry I’ll take
him to the doggie docs” – brilliant I thought – really had I not had enough
nipping for one day! Anyway off we went and the ladies there all came and gave
me a big hug and lots of kisses. Dad said he had to leave me because it needed
to stitches L The ladies took me into the treatment
room and gave me a big fluffy blanket to lie on and some sweeties, I didn’t
want to stay but I did start to feel a bit sleepy and it was nice and warm, so
I thought I’ll have a quick nap, and Dad will be back soon.
I’m not sure
what sweeties they were, but when I woke up I felt very strange, and I had a
big patch of fur missing that wasn’t my fault! I know I pull my own fur out sometimes,
but this was different, and then I spotted this string stuff on my side! And another
bald patch on my leg, what the heck had gone on! I had only been asleep for 2
mins. I thought Mum is going to go mental when she sees the state of me.
Dad came to
collect me and I was a bit wobbly on my paws, when we got home he made a big
fire and brought my duvet down from my bed, we had a lads day in watching
things on the box in the corner. When Mum got home she gave me lots of cuddles
but she doesn’t like looking at my side – I told her it wasn’t me the naughty
doggie doc had done it. This has given Mum the opportunity she has always wanted
which is to dress me up! So I’m now wearing work t-shirts as well my coats…
See you all soon
Lots of Love Louis and Olga

Hello lovely Louis and Olga! Audi here. Your antics continue to make my mum laugh and she soooo likes Olga's ears. I've been on holiday too, one of which was also in a house on wheels. My dad isn't keen on houses with wheels and neither am I really as we both like lots of space but mum told us to shut up and stop moaning. Anyway, we went to see my lovely friend, Purdy, in Essex and we had loads of walks with amazing smells. There are lots of furry critters of varying shapes and sizes in the countryside aren't there. Then we went to Sussex but stayed in a house right next to the beach. Phew! At least it wasn't a house on wheels. I loved it there, waking up every morning and jumping over the fence to run on the beach to play with new friends. We met another girl that was the same as me but she wasn't very friendly. She had a ball in her mouth most of the time and was determined to hang on to it at all costs. Talking of mouths, my mum thought my mouth looked a bit funny - she could see my top and bottom teeth so thought I was grinning all the time! So she took me to see Doctor Peter and he found some gremlin growing between the roof of my mouth and my nose. I have got some little known condition (we Dobermans are special of course) called nodular fasciitis. I have had to take some tablets in my food to reduce the swelling and I'm going to see Doctor Peter again tomorrow. But I feel absolutely fine and am just waiting for dad to come home and take me out for my afternoon loony time. Keep writing your great blog and keep away from spiky fences! Lots of love, Audi xx
