Hi Louis Mum here....
Well it looks like we have light back in our very dark
tunnel, Louis has been back to see Mr Jones this afternoon and there is no sign
of Biliruben in his wee, his lungs are sounding a lot better which means his
red blood cells are carrying more oxygen through his body, and his gums are slowly
starting to pink up a little. All brilliant news and what we have been waiting
and praying for since Christmas Day, but we are not totally out of the woods
but we are in a much better position.
I do think all the drugs he’s on have muddled with his head a
little because he’s been ‘mithering’ Olga by trying to erm... how should I put
this, ‘show her too much love’! hahaha, bless him he’s no idea what he’s doing,
Olga walks away from him wondering “what the hell”!!
He is back to see Mr Jones on Wed again for a check-up, but
if he keeps on going the way he is now we are really optimistic the outcome is good.
Our next target is for his bone marrow to continue to produce his red blood
cells, which will be monitored via blood tests.
He is still on his chicken, liver and buttermilk which he is
loving, and we are introducing his normal food in as well, although he’s not a
massive fan of it now, which is to be expected. He is still drinking water, but
it has to be fresh haha. So the plan now is to try and keep him quiet whilst he continues to recover, although this is will prove difficult as the better he feels.
We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and get
well messages, it’s been a really tough 10 days, it’s actually felt like weeks,
but we are getting there. We would also like to thank Mr Jones on St Annes Road
Blackpool, for his quick action in spotting what he believed to be the real issue,
I really do think if he hadn’t insisted on the blood test we could have been in
a different place now.
Love Louis Mum
xxxxx
