Loch Awe and Some!! March 2015 - Day 1

Day 1

Woof everyone, or rather hock aye da-nooo

Guess where we are!! Go on guess….… we’re up in Scotland again, at a place called Dalavich which is miles and miles away from Auntie Pam’s on the other side of Scotland – so Dad says.

We are staying at number 19 Kilchurn Cabin which is right on the side of Loch Awe, or as I like to say Loch AWE-SOME!

It took hours to get here and we had to stop a couple of times on the way for a wee, and because Olga was hungry! – Greedy girl.

We have had to come in 2 cars this time because Dad wanted to make sure we had enough space to lie down in his truck, but due to all his monstering equipment he needed to bring we all wouldn't have fitted in, so Mum followed in her truck. I can tell you I’m shattered, I didn't get a wink of sleep on the way because I had to make sure Mum didn't get lost and was still following us, at one point she disappeared! I started shouting her (like dad does to me when I go missing in a morning on the field), it worked as well, as soon as I shouted she came back into view- phew!

When we stopped the first time, I had to have a quick word with Mum to explain that she shouldn't disappear like that because it’s not big and it’s not clever and I was worried sick!

I had no idea we were coming on holiday, Mum and Dad kept it a secret from us, although I had a suspicion when Mum came back from shopping with 2 new duvet covers for me and Olga, we always get new covers to go away with, this time mine has a pirate on it, and Olga’s has a spaceman – of course mine is better. J

I've no idea why they didn't tell us, but I guess it will be something to do with Olga, because if you tell her you’re going to do something she mithers and mithers until you tell her all the details… she can be a pain.

So here we are, wow this place is amazing, it’s in the middle of the woods, I lost count of all the new sticks I could see, and when we pulled up outside or log cabin, Olga jumped out of the truck and said “Louis, look at that house, it’s made out of sticks”. I had to tell her straight away that there was to be no chewing of the house, it’s not allowed! I think it took her a while to understand haha.

Dad brought all our stuff in and guess what – it only has a log burner like ours at home, but a lot smaller… oh this place just gets better. Once everything was unpacked, Dad took us out into our new garden, at the back of the cabin, and guess what! Yup the Loch was right there, IN OUR GARDEN! -  Olga ran straight into it, and started splashing about, then she spotted the ducks and tried to clear them off hahaha, that was funny to watch.

I think I’m going really really like it here…..

More tomorrow..
Love Louis and Olga xxx
