Part 1 Ireland 2014

Woooooooofffffff everyone – Top of the morning to ya’all

We have just got back from our trip to the funny sounding place – Ireland. We love it there soo much. <3
Well, what can I say – it’s been brilliant - electrifying you could say, I’ll explain that later.

Firstly I thought I’d let you know I’ve been really good with Olga, she has been mithering to come to work with me for ages now, so I said “Ok I’ll give you a trial run” she didn’t know what I meant so I said “if you want to be part of Louis security squad then you will have to be put through your paces”. She still had no idea what I was talking about so I said, “Right ok, I’ve got to go and get some tools from the garage Olga, so you need to stay in the van and keep guard – do you think you can do that?” – “Of course I can, it’s not difficult you know, I’ve watched you do it loads of times jezzzz Louis”
I bite my tongue because I knew she would fail, anyway I told her what she should be doing and that she needs to bark if she hears anyone coming near the van. (By the way the van was right outside our garage so no-one ever comes near, so it was an easy test really, there’s no way she could fail! –but you have to remember this is Olga we are taking about)

So up she jumped into the front of the van, I told her not to mess about and not to touch the wheel or play “driving” because she was nowhere near ready for that yet. I got down and closed the door and went into the garage, I was in there for about 5 mins looking for my Dad’s hammer I’d ‘placed’ somewhere the day before, I didn’t hear a peep from Olga, even though I saw one of our neighbours walk past, so she should have barked – but nothing not a peep. I went out to investigate and when I looked in the van she was nowhere to be seen. “Oh god, she’s not been dognapped has she” I cried. “I’m not that lucky am I?” I ran round the van sniffing to see where she had gone, and I picked her smelly scent up – I followed it.

It seems my job isn’t as easy as she thinks, I asked her what was she doing and she said, “I got bored and when I spotted Mum, I gave her my bestest Olga stare and said you had locked me in the van, she said you were naughty and she got me out and we went round the front of the house and through the front door. I said sat on Mum’s knee and she got me a pillow and my FOND coat because I was in shock for being left on my own” HA you’re in troubleeeee. That girl will be the death of me!

Do you remember me saying in my last blog that I thought we were going to the funny sounding place again? Well I was right, oh my goodness, Dad hadn’t told me because he said I get too excited if I know I’m going somewhere and when I get excited, I tend to have a little nibble at my sides – it’s not my faultttttttttt L
Anyway, I knew something funny was going on because we didn’t go to work when we should have and Mum left her car and went to work with someone else, and Dad didn’t have his work boots on, so I soon counted 1 paw (no work) and another paw (mum leaving her car) and another paw (dads boots) and ermmm oh yeah Olga still being here instead of going to nana’s so if you add that up 1 paw + 1 paw + 1 paw = a tail – HOLIDAYS!

Dad and Little John packed the car up and when I spotted Dad’s sticks going on the roof rack, and all his lovely smelly tubs and bottles going in he’s bag I knew we were going fishing, and all this stuff means 1 place – Ireland. You can imagine how excited I was – yup I wee’d a little. I didn’t mean to squirt on Olga – she just got in my way hahahahaha…

For the rest of the day I couldn't settle, I’d packed the toys I wanted to take – an old Frisbee (to chew in the car), my yellow bone, and 2 brand new super flying frisbee’s Dad had bought me. Olga of course wanted to take everything! All her old frisbees, all her bones even the one that’s so chewed so bad it’s basically a just a knot of a bone, she also wanted to take all her coats! I told her that there was not going to be enough room, but she trotted off anyway, I think she put a couple of old knotty bones in Mum’s bag lol.
We also, of course, had the chappie bones Mum had made and had tried to hide them in the cupboard that makes everything cold – but I sniffed them out.

Mum said we had to have an early night because we were going to be traveling a long way, so I snuggled up next to Dad on the sofa and dreamt about the fields and ponds we will soon be playing in. The next day – like Mum said we were off on our hols, I took Dad out for a good run before we started out journey, I needed to make sure he didn't want to stop for a wee on the way, I know what he’s like sometimes, and I didn't want to miss the big box thing that goes across the water Mum stayed at home to finish packing. Then when we got back me and Olga had a quick drink and we were off…EXCITING!!!!

 Watch out for Part 2
Love Louis and Olga
