After losing our beloved Jilly 3 weeks ago, and with the house feeling so empty and with us not really knowing what to do with ourselves, we decided to started to look around for another Doberman, we wanted to provide another home for a rescue dog so after contacting a number of Doberman rescue with no responce, we finally heard from Friends of Northen Dobermans (FOND). Pam contacted us and we discussed what experiance we had with the breed, so after a succesfull home visit we made our way up to Aberdeenshire to visit 2 dogs, Louis and Dan, both were amazing dogs, but Louis seemed to bond with us straight way.
We spent a beatutiful 24 hours with Louis, and Pam so very kindly put us up in her home, we took all the dogs out on the beach, and sat and cuddled them, with Louis being at our feet the whole time. Pam's own bitch called Jenna looked so much like Jilly and she came up instantly to me and sat on my lap, it felt like i had one last chance to say goodbye to Jilly, daft i know but Jenna helped me.
So we have been allowed to adopt Louis and we will be collecting him as soon as we come back off holiday. Louis is an amazing brown Dobie and is 18 month old, he is a handsome big man and has the engery of 10 dobies put together.
I am going to try and take the time write about his life with us. :0)
