9th April 2012...

I emailed Pam last night to let her know we arrived back safe and sound, and to ask how the meeting went with Dan and his possible new family, and of course to see how Louis was.

She managed to email me back at 23:40 last night with the following update:

"We have just tucked up all the Dobies and our new guests.  It's been a long day not helped by Dan snatching one of my socks as I was preparing to take him out for a walk and then legging it round the garden and swallowing the wretched sock.  Great start off to the vet with Dan's potential new owner, fortunately an injection brought the offending sock up, but we then discovered he had also swallowed a toilet roll and are hoping that will pass through as it has not arrived back the way it went down.  Feeling fairly demented this evening!!!

The good and crazy news is the ****** family still want Dan and realise just how vigilant they are going to have to be. God willing he will live a long and happy life but he does tempt fate.

Maybe Louis knows you are getting him a new bed because the blighter was tearing his up tonight.  Feeling a bit neglected today after all the attention yesterday and Dan getting it today"

It seems Louis is missing us or was just on his best behaviour haha, i knew he was full of mischief.

I also knew Dan was going to be a bugger... deary me eating socks and toilet rolls, his new family will need eyes in the back of their heads, but i'm so glad they are willing to give him the home he needs....

Oh well not long till our holidays which i'm so looking forward too, and of course not long till Louis becomes a part of our family.
