New Gate and lots of sand

Woooffffffffff everyone…..

I thought I’d better let you know how Olga is getting on…. Of course everything is about her now!!

I mentioned in my last post that she has hurt her back leg, and Dad thought it was something to do with her hips, well we can now say it’s not… she was wooff-errd to a hospital for us dogs – oh and cats and furies.

Her appointment was last Tuesday so we had to finish work early and take her over the St Helens to a place called Rutland Veterinary Hospital, to see a doggie doc called Dungan, of course I had to stay in the car because it was really busy and to be honest I don’t really like the smell of those places – plus someone had to look after Little John (he tends to wander off if you don’t keep an eye on him).

Dad wasn't looking forward to taking Olga in there because she’s a grumpy thing around other dogs and tends to make a right show of Dad – this was another reason why I stayed in the car!

After about ermmm.. well I’m not sure how long it was but it was long enough for me to have 2 good ear rubs, a big slurp of water and a stroll round the car park for a wee, Olga and Dad came out – Dad looked well stressed which only meant 1 thing – Olga had been naughty.
She had a drink and a wee and Dad lifted her into the back of the car – jezzz she’s lazy. I gave Dad a quick wash before we set off back home because he looked a bit hot, and he told me and Little John what Duncan had said.

Apparently Olga has a ruptured her cruise-gate ligament in her knee, I said “Dad stop being silly Olga doesn't have cruise ship or a gate in her knee!!”, Dad just tutted at me – what did I say to deserve a tut, I’ll just sit here with my paw on my mouth should I!

Little John asked what could Duncan do for her and Dad said she needs an operation to re-build her knee, so basically she needs her gate fixing – I’m sure we could do that we've made some gates this week at work. He went on to say something like - it’s going to cost 2 thousand or 2 grain plus a bat.

Wowzers that’s a lot of grains we are going to have to find, so it looks like a trip to my beach is in order, I'm sure there are loads of grains on there, although I’m not sure how long it will take to count all that sand – plus where on earth will we find a bat!

I didn't think Olga was too bad she still jumps about like an idiot but I have noticed she limps after, which I why Dad took her. When she gets her new gate fitted she has to stay in hospital overnight, and we cannot pick her up until the next evening… brilliant! I’ll have a choice of beds to sleep in hahahaha..

Mum is going to take some time off work to look after her, and then when Nana (with the see through roof) is back off her hols she will take over. Olga is not going to be allowed to climb stairs, or run, and can only go on really really short walks. So that means I’ll have Dad all to myself again! – this just gets better and better, oh and the funniest thing – Olga is going to have to wear one of those lamp shades on her head hahaha!!! I’ll make sure Mum takes loads of photos hahaha.

Anyway better go Olga wants one of her toys which by the way is right next to her, but she is playing the old soldier saying she cannot reach it… lazy dog.

Lots of Love
Louis and Olga
