Email from Ollie and Sheba

Ohhhh I'm so sorry I didn't let you all know about the email I got from Ollie and Sheba a couple of weeks ago, with one thing and another it completely slipped my mind..... so here it is....

Hi Louis and Olga,

We've got an addition to the family! A skinny, petite Dobie called Amber and she's got a tail!!!! Boy do you get some knocks with it, it's added on to the back of her, our Mum says OWWwwwwwwwwwww  whenever Amber is wagging this tail, I think it must hurt. Boy she's fast I can tell you, Ollie has been trying to catch her on the racecourse for days now, and when he's done enough running Mum puts him on his lead so he can catch his breath. I, on the other hand am nearly as fast, but as I am now 8 years old I don't get carried away like Ollie.
She even shares my basket which I think is very good of me, as I am quite particular who gets in my basket, Ollie doesn't even try he knows there is not room for him and me.

This Amber is very, very thin, and Mum went away in the car the other Saturday for quite a long time, and lo and behold, she came back with this little Dobe. Nobody seems to know how old she is, the RSPCA seemed to think she might be 5, but she's tiny for 5. Very food orientated, I think she hasn't had much to eat lately which might be why she is so skinny. She is quite good with Ollie and I and sleeps in the spare basket, but boy is she a pain in the car! She paces up and down on the back seat, Mum doesn't put her in the back with us, which is just as well as we'd get trampled on. Mind she doesn't  try and jump over which is something!   She's pretty vocal too when we pass dogs or people, but out of the car I must say she is very friendly with other dogs we meet and people so that is good. She keeps trying to chase the birds in our garden, she'll never catch them I keep telling her, but she doesn't listen.

I'm sorry your Mum has had leaking eyes  you and Olga must get really close and give her lots of cuddles, she will need you both to be there for her.

Don't know how long Amber is staying with us, Mum says it's not for long we are just fostering her, as she has a home to go to, but as she wasn't doing very well in kennels she's come to stay with us for a while until her new Mum and dad can take her. She likes to play with all the toys in the toy box, but Mum had to hide all Ollie's teddies as the RSPCA (what is that?) said she tore up soft toys, and boy has he sulked! But I've seen Mum tuck a teddy next to him when he goes to bed at night so Amber can't see it, he really is spoilt.
Talk soon Louis, you and Olga take care, and take care of your Mum.

Woofs from all here
Sheba, Ollie and Amber.

Wooffffff Sheba, Ollie and the new addition Amber

Wow Amber sounds like she's had a hard time, the poor thing.... believe me these tails do hurt when we catch people with them lol..although they are good to chase when you're bored hehehhe.

Bless Ollie for trying to keep up hahaha..

You are being good letting Amber into your basket, that Olga tries to get in mine most of the time, but I either shoo her out or I go and lie in her bed..
Olga was thin was she came to live with me, she is putting a little weight on now, but she is still a little thin. I think some Dobies worry a lot and that makes them thin..

Ohhh I know what RSPCA stands for!!... Really Sue Please Collect Amber !! there phew I'm glad I worked that out....

I have had a look on FOND and Amber is skinny, but it sounds like you wont have to put up with her for too long... mind you.... I thought that about Olga and she's still here!!!!! hehe

I'll let all our Dobie mates about your new addition in my next blog :)
Poor Ollie's teddies :( some of these lady Dobies are just naughty, good job your Mum saved them.

I'm off to work in Hampshire now so I better get cracking, I'm sure I've forgotten to pack something.
Love Louis and Olga xxxx
